Directed by Matt Ferrucci, Kensington is a 25-minute proof of concept pilot written by and starring Michael Marc Friedman. Based on the neighborhood he grew up in, this dark comedy follows an Ivy-League therapist, who moves his practice to the crime riddled, blue-collar Kensington district in Philadelphia.

It won Best TV Pilot at the SOHO International Film Festival in New York. It screened at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival and the television festival SeriesFest: Season 5 in Denver.

MEET THE FILMMAKERS

The project also stars Mather Zickel, known for roles in such films as Rachel Getting Married, I Love You Man, Suburbicon. He was a regular on Showtime’s House of Lies, Masters of Sex and I Love You America on Hulu. Our lead actress is the amazing Kim Director, best known for her role as Stevie in Spike Lee’s film INSIDE MAN. Kim has been in four other films directed by Spike Lee - He Got Game, Summer of Sam, Bamboozled, and She Hate Me. Kim currently stars as Shay on HBO's The Deuce with Maggie Gyllenhall and recurs on the Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It.
