Written, directed, and co-created by Matt Ferrucci, Companion is a 25-minute proof-of-concept pilot that follows the dysfunctional world of Nick Foster, a sober coach who keeps the rich and infamous on the straight and narrow. When NBA bad boy Jay Tyrell goes off the rails, Nick’s job is to keep the party from turning into a crime scene. Part sober coach, part babysitter, Nick wrangles the girlfriends, the ego, and the flashing cameras.

The pilot went on to win Best TV Comedy and Best Director at ITVFest, earn a nomination for Best Comedy Short of the Year at NewFilmmakers LA, and screen as an official selection of SeriesFest: Season 4. Its success lead to meetings with HBO, Showtime, Complex, and GQ.
